Yoga Retreat in Paradise

Spend four nights in luxury at the 4.5 star all-inclusive Antigua Galley Bay Resort & Spa! Your stay will include a deluxe beachfront suite, all meals, snacks, drinks, activities, and 2 yoga + meditation sessions per day with Mary and Christine. Each attendee will also receive a 90-minute Thai Yoga Massage with Mary. See below for full details.

Yoga with Christine & Mary

Yoga classes followed by guided meditation in savasana will be offered twice a day by Christine Janak & Mary Wolters. Our private yoga classes will be offered mid-morning and  mid-afternoon in a beautiful beachfront yoga pavilion with ocean views.   

4 1/2 Star Luxury Resort & Spa

Your vacation will include the highest level of customer support and privacy at this world class, adults-only, luxury resort situated between the white sand beaches of Galley Bay and a peaceful lagoon bird sanctuary. When you're not practicing yoga or receiving your heavenly massage treatment, soak up some sun at the beach or take a dip in the pool!

Even though we will be located in the eastern Carribean, you will be dazzled by food from around the globe presented in deliciously delicate entrees, not to mention the desserts or paired beverages. You get to choose your menu at each restaurant. Bon Appetit!

Arrive: Thursday, February 13, 2025

Depart: Monday, February 17, 2025 (President's Day)​

Your Retreat Includes:

  • A 4-night stay in a Deluxe Beachfront Room at the 4.5 star adults-only Galley Bay Resort & Spa in Antigua.

  • All meals, snacks, and drinks at the all-inclusive resort (3 restaurants, 1 beach grill, 5 bars/lounges, and a cafe).

  • 2 optional daily yoga classes led by Mary and Christine, in a covered beach pavilion with breath-taking ocean views.

  • In addition to these classes, you are welcome to hop into a daily 8am yoga class led by resort staff.

  • A 90-minute Thai Yoga Massage with Mary.

  • Land activities at the resort including beach volleyball, tennis, croquet, and cycling/jogging/walking on peaceful trails around the lagoon and through a bird sanctuary.

  • Water activities at the resort including kayaking, paddle-boarding, and snorkeling. Motorized water sports like sailing or jet-skiing available for an additional fee.


You are responsible for:

  • Airfare to Antigua (ANU - V.C. Bird International Airport)  - we recommend booking airfare ASAP for the best rates!

  • Spending money for optional excursions, souvenirs, optional spa treatments, and tip money for showing appreciation to resort staff as you see fit. 

  • Please note that spa treatments, excursions, and dinner reservations can only be booked at the resort after you check in. Guest services will be happy to assist you.


Travel Tips

  •  A valid passport with an expiration date of 6 months beyond your return date is required for all international travel. 

  • Your travel documents must match your airline tickets.

  • The best way to get to the Galley Bay Resort is with a local taxi; it is approximately a 30 minute drive to the resort.  There is never a wait at the taxi stand just outside the terminal.  The cost is approximately USD $30.00 each way for 1- 2 persons and there is no need to pre-book this service.



  • Double-Occupancy Room (sharing a King Bed in a Deluxe Beachfront Room):

    • $2,800.00 total per person - EARLY BIRD PRICING: only $2,600.00 if you make your deposit by June 30th, 2024.

    • ($3,650.00 value per person)

    • If you want to room with your partner or friend, just make your respective deposits to reserve your spots and let us know. 

  • Single-Occupancy Room (King Bed and Deluxe Beachfront Room all to yourself):

    • $3,900.00 total - EARLY BIRD PRICING: only $3,700.00 if you make your deposit by June 30th, 2024.

    • ($6,250.00 value)

  • If you want to extend your stay by one night, or want to upgrade to a different room type, please let us know and we will quote you the additional fee (pending room availability).

  • In order to reserve your spot in this once-in-a-lifetime adventure with Mary & Christine, a deposit of $1,000 is required at the time of your reservation. Please get in touch with Mary to make arrangements for your deposit and payment. You may call or text her at 217-FOR-YOGA or 217-367-9642.

  • The remaining amount will be due by October 31st, 2024. 


Your Retreat Hosts

Mary Wolters, LMT, e-RYT 500 YA

Mary Wolters has been practicing yoga since 1997 and teaching since 2001. She has studied with master yoga teachers from around the world. Mary has taken teacher trainings with various well known instructors. She has been most inspired by the many Prana Vinyasa Flow teacher trainings with Shiva Rea, who taught her how to "move like water" and gifted her the name, "Merry Waters".

Mary carries a License in Massage Therapy. In 2005, she became an accredited Thai Yoga Massage Therapist. “Lazy Man’s Yoga” is a form of therapeutic massage that combines gentle stretching, acupressure, and breath work in one beautiful and meditative experience. In 2019, she spent two months in Chiang Mai, Thailand, to study with living masters of this healing art form. 

Mary has lead retreats near home and abroad since 2016. It is one of her favorite ways to adventure around the world. She is very excited to share this luxurious carribean retreat with you.

Christine Janak, RYT-200 YA

Christine Janak is a yoga and meditation instructor based in Urbana, IL. She was first introduced to mindfulness and meditation in karate classes as a kid, and began practicing yoga in 2009. She completed her RYT-200 training at Amara Yoga & Arts in 2014 and recently completed continuing education in MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction). She has offered group classes and private lessons for over 10 years and loves to lead flowing vinyasa-style classes that help students drop into the present moment through breath and body awareness. She encourages everyone to experiment and make the practice their own, honoring what their body needs in each moment and listening deeply to their inner voice. 

Christine is also a dancer and circus-style performance artist and teacher, specializing in hoop dance, silk fan veils, and fire dancing/fire eating. She enjoys performing at festivals, private events, and on stage with the band Sun Stereo throughout the Midwest and beyond.

This will be Christine's first retreat offering and she can't wait to co-facilitate a relaxing, rejuvenating, introspective experience for you in such a beautiful location!
