Head Massage

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is a healing form. It is based on very gentle touch and the firm belief that health is always available. This work supports the whole body, and especially perceives and addresses the nervous system to help ease conditions evolved from stress, trauma or injuries.

This work can benefit people by releasing restrictions and unresolved memories that take place in the spinal cord and membranes that surround the brain. People with challenges such as low back pain, migraines, injuries, chronic pain, anxiety and stress may find that BCST can provide an experience of wellness and fluidity in the physical and emotional body.

Ashiatsu (ah-she-ot-sue)

"If you love classic Swedish massage but find that you often crave deeper pressure and broader compression throughout the session, Ashiatsu is perfect for you."

Ashiatsu is very similar to Swedish: the therapist delivers the massage using long, smooth, deep, flowing strokes alternated with spot kneading and slow cross fiber friction. The difference is that the therapist actually stands on the massage table and uses her feet. Holding parallel bars mounted securely to the ceiling makes gliding with gravity and sinking smoothly into tissue easy. Your therapist will always ask if she is giving the desired depth and comfort. The result is a profoundly relaxing massage.

Thai Massage is given on a padded floor surface, please wear comfortable clothes that stretch.

Head Massage

Two people are massaged in the same room, at the same time, by two different therapists. A "couple" can be partners, family, or friends. As for couples massage etiquette, it’s fine to talk to each other through the massage if you want, or be quiet the whole time. It’s really up to you.

Yoga Teacher with Student

Scheduling a free private yoga consultation with Mary to talk about your intention for beginning a yoga practice or deepening your practice. The practice can be very different depending on the approach. Private yoga may be therapeutic, strength building, restorative, or simply a way to gain flexibility in mind and body. Mary also has done specific training in prenatal and postnatal yoga.

You will receive a written yoga posture practice, flow sequence, or meditation instruction, custom designed for you.

 

Private instruction can provide a foundation for a home yoga practice. Or you might simply enjoy the experience of having individualized attention on your yoga practice. A private yoga session is the best way to check alignment with immediate feedback from a certified yoga teacher.
